Nike Pro Combat Jersey : IN STOCK MID-JANUARY

We’ve received a ton of emails these past few days regarding the Nike Pro Combat Jersey worn in the Canes’ 31-10 win over South Florida this past weekend.

As most of you know, the jersey sold out on Friday November 21st when we had an in-store sale.

UPDATED 12/02/09: allCanes is happy to let you know that we worked out a deal with Nike to get another shipment of the Pro Combat Jerseys. They will be in stock mid-January and we’ll begin taking pre-orders later this week.

For those of you who want to order for the holidays, we’re working out a way for you to have a photo ready for the holiday season (should you want to include in a card, wrap in a box, etc. so your recipient knows a gift is forthcoming.) We’ll either mail you a photo or we’ll set up a downloadable PDF file on our site with the jersey photo/description for you to print out.

We’re also working on the best shipping option as we know many of you would like to pre-order now, along with other items that you’d like shipped your way before mid-January.

Please stay tuned as we figure out the details over the next day or so.

  1. TAHNK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALLCANES IS THE BEST!!!!

  2. respectfully, the uniforms are terrible. they are plain and fail to highlight the colors and style of past Canes uniforms that made us original. They look way to institutional (i.e. hospital setting) and have no flair.

  3. Any chance of getting the base layer shirt. I dig the Hurricane sleeves. Would make a nice undershirt to rep the 'Canes in a business meeting.

  4. That's awesome you guys are working on that for us. I honestly though eBay was the only route to go. I don't know of any other shop that would do that for the fans so mad props to AllCanes.

I second that Anonymous regarding the base layer "under armour" tight fitting shirt. I wear those shirts to work out in and I cannot find that shirt anywhere. Eastbay doesn't carry the shirt and they seem to carry everything. Chris, any idea where we could find that shirt?

  5. what exactly do you mean by "getting a custom order of Pro Combat Jerseys?" does this mean a different number on the jersey? instead of #12? you know nike has an entire stash of Miami Pro Combat Jerseys in one of their warehouse. they're just waiting for the demand to get out of control. i hate nike! they did the same thing with the manny pacquiao stuff.

  6. Any word on whether there will be any Throwback jerseys next year, similar to the Bernie Kosar/Michael Irvin ones from 3 or 4 years ago? Thanks

… if you hate them, you hate them So be it. We sold out our allotment – about seven dozen jerseys – in a matter of hours. They're still in demand and we're getting another shipment in… so SOMEBODY liked them.

Management decided not to carry the base layer shirt. Not sure why, but we're not getting any in. Sorry about that.

A 'custom' order means that if we want Nike to run another batch, a certain number needs to be made for it to be worth their while. They won't bang out a few dozen more. Several hundred need to be ordered for Nike to do a re-order.

Nike doesn't have a warehouse of jerseys sitting around. Bank on it. The jerseys were sold out late November and more won't be in stock until mid-January. What sense would it make to not have jerseys in stock for the holidays?

Nike ran off a limited edition, tested the waters, Miami beat South Florida and now there's demand.

I simply think they realize the Canes have a fickle fan base and they didn't want the debacle they had in 2005 with the 'Revolution' jersey.

No. 3Miami lost to Georgia Tech in that new-look jersey, so nobody wanted it as a keepsake. In this case I'd guess Nike wanted to make sure the Canes beat the Bulls before moving forward with the Pro Combat in mass quantities.

  8. How have the other school allotments sold? I see some Texas and VT available at eastbay, did all schools receive the same amount of jerseys. Glad to hear we can get more, VERY COOL ( salty about the base layer though )

  9. Not sure how others sold, but a school like Texas got a much bigger allotment. Miami's fickle fan base is a big reason Nike does less for UM than other schools. UT fans still buy if team in a rut. Cane fans don't even go to home games…

  10. As much as I hate to say it; 305 is right! Our fan base is beyond fickle, it is embarrassing! We have 30,000 empty seats for home games, the bowl games don't want to touch us with a ten foot pole because we don't travel well, and Nike is afraid to put out masss quantities of UM merchandise because apparently we are cheap too! We are 9-3 in a season where some thought we would be lucky to be bowl eligible and yet the "Fair Weather" Cane fans are still not happy! When did this fan base become so impossible to please? It hasn't always been this way?

  11. Before I buy one of these jerseys, are these going to be the jerseys that Miami will wear next year or were they just a 1 game deal?
    Thanks

  12. is nike putting out some miami edition trainer 1 shoes? i was just on the nike store site and saw florida and oklahoma trainer 1s.

  13. When will the jerseys be shipped? i ordered one for mid-january and have not heard anything since
