Canes / Yellow Jackets Depth Chart Released

Miami and Georgia Tech will meet on October 22nd at Sun Life at 3:30pm ET and the depth chart has been released for Saturday’s showdown. Miami enters the game at 3-3, coming off a win at North Carolina, and is 1-2 in ACC play. Georgia Tech is 6-1 on the season and 3-1 in conference play, having lost at Virginia this past weekend.

Regarding depth chart changes, the most notably is the big man Seantrel Henderson moving back to left tackle where he’s listed as co-starter with Brandon Washington. Malcolm Bunche has been shifted over to backup right tackle.

No more co-starters at fullback with Maurice Hagens taking over at starter and John Calhoun listed as backup. At running back Lamar Miller is the man, with Mike James as the solid number two and Eduardo Clements at number three. James and Clements had been listed co-second string.

Tommy Streeter has been named starter with Allen Hurns moved to second string. The two had been named co-starters later week but Hurns had two drops at North Carolina, finishing with two grabs for 47 yards while Streeter had four receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown.

Clive Walford and Chase Ford are listed as co-starter at tight end. Ford was last week’s starter with Walford as backup.

On defense the biggest addition is Olivier Vernon back in the mix at left end. Shayon Green remains starter with Vernon splitting co-second string with Marcus Robinson. Micanor Regis moves to starter at left tackle with Adewale Ojomo moving over to starter at right tackle.

Jordan Futch is starter at strongside linebacker with Kelvin Cain moved to second string. The two had been named co-starters last week.

Dalton Botts and Jake Wieclaw are co-starters at punter with Botts having a less than stellar performance against the Tar Heels and on kickoff return Miller is back in the mix with Travis Benjamin, replacing Davon Johnson.

  1. The Sin City toUters have made The Golden One’s Cane squad a narrow – 3 point home chalk.

My sagacious advice is too bloody LAY the points and watch Miami come away with a much needed A.C.C. home victory.

    Miami Hurricanes 38

    Bumbling Bees 31

Fischer, Jacory, Lamar and the Hurricane wideout’s will have TO CARRY the squad, again, this Saturday.

Insider’s tidbit. It’s going to be interesting how Ga. Tech D-coordinator plans to minimize Miami’s O-unit. Hurricane fandom witnessed how Carolina GAME PLANNED to take away the Cane’s potent rushing attack.

Too bad the Tar Heels forgot all aboUt Fischer, Jacory, and the Miami corps of fleet wideouts. Hee hee Ha ha.

    Bon joUr

  2. A Hurricane TANGENT to consider.

I absolUtely feel that Miami’s TYPICAL difficult non-conference schedule will be a much needed soothing balmy weather BALM.

Because Kansas St. is undefeated and ranked and I wouldn’t be surpise to see the octagenarian Synder’s Cat squad finish the regular season campaign 8-4. Eh.

Then, there’s Ohio St which came with away with a Big Ten ROAD WIN against a Top 20 rated Illinois team. Again, look for the Buckeyes to have another winning season albeit not their typical Top 10 type of season.

Even Big East foe So. Florida has a winning season, so far.

That’s why I liked Miami to get the win against Carolina and why I see-R the Canes getting a victory against Ga. Tech come Saturday afterrnoon. Both of these A.C.C. squads ABSOLUTELY didn’t play the non-conference schedule The Golden One’s Cane team did-albeit the Rambling Wreck faces the Bulldogs in November.
