Canes All-Access : U Football

“The U” released a new All-Access video earlier today and it’s 5:39 minutes of culture change, maturity, leadership and pretty much all the things the Miami Hurricanes football program has been missing the past few years.

This piece is centered around defensive tackle Marcus Forston, battling back from injury, realize he wasn’t giving his all in practice, going up to team leader Sean Spence, heeding the advice to speak up, rallying the troops, wearing it on his sleeve and the entire process serving as a motivator for the second half of practice.

Later players were asked to open up in front of the group, sharing something about themselves that teammates didn’t know. Forston talked about his upbringing and went deep, which caused other players to text him afterwards, thanking him for the honesty.

New head coach Al Golden is creating a bond between players that didn’t exist last year. Things are getting personal and the closer these guys get, the more accountability there will be come kickoff. Another motivational tactic has been put in play … and another great piece has been released by the folks at “The U”. Great job all the way around.
