Jim Morris called Friday night’s 10-2 loss to Stony Brook the worst big game the University of Miami has played in his entire coaching career at ‘The U’ in all phases of the game.
Add Saturday’s showdown with Missouri State to that mix as the Canes fell 12-2 to the Bears, run out of town — their own town — as the No. 1 seed and outscored 22-4 by much lesser programs.
Too call this an embarrassment is a gross understatement regarding a proud and tradition-heavy baseball program like Miami. This is almost as low as football falling 48-0 to Virginia in the Orange Bowl finale.
More to come on this by Monday as enough time has been wasted on Miami baseball this weekend … but there will be some choice words regarding the state of this program in the coming days.
