Congrats To Our Friend Jennifer Urs Sullivan

A hearty congrats to our friend Jen Urs—now Jennifer Urs Sullivan—who had her dream fulfilled when Sebastian The Ibis walked her down the aisle at her March wedding. The story recently went viral when wedding photos and videos were posted online.

Jen first reached out to us last October, trying to figure out the best way to pay tribute to her late father, including him in her wedding day:

Harry — It’s Jen Urs. I have a quick question. Do you guys sell customizable jerseys? As you know, my dad passed away last year and I’ll be having Sebastian walk me down the aisle at my wedding in March.

I want to pay tribute to my dad by having Sebastian wear a custom UM jersey with my dad’s nickname and football number on the back, so I was just wondering if you sell these customizable jerseys.

I looked on the website and didn’t see them there, but figured you would know best what’s available or where I could get something customized, if not through you. I thank you in advance for your assistance and look forward to seeing you at the next game!

The feat was pulled off and Jen even made sure to give us a shout in the longer quote from her Facebook page that the national media has since run with:

When my dad passed away, I dreaded walking down the aisle without him and wasn’t sure how I’d make it through the moment. And yet it ended up being one of the most amazing/memorable moments of the day. I just want to thank all of the amazing people in the athletic department (along with Harry Rothwell of allCanes.com who customized the jersey to include my dad’s nickname on the back) who helped to make this happen. Without you, my day might have been just a little less beautiful. We’re all so lucky to be fans of such a great program, led by the most compassionate of people. Now let’s get these W’s. GO CANES!

All the best to Jennifer and her new husband Patrick. Safe to say the gesture made Dad proud and we’re sure he’d agree, let’s go get some wins this fall, Miami.
