Start fast, end slow and chalk up another loss. Miami fell in its season finale against Boston College – on Senior Day and a game that was supposed to take the place of a bowl game, due to a self-imposed post-season ban.
The lone bright spot, outside of a 79-yard Lamar Miller touchdown run, came in the fourth quarter when ABC commentators announced that head coach Al Golden received a four-year extension, ending all chatter about his possible departure to Penn State.
Miami ends the 2011 season 6-6 and will head into recruiting season, with many battles to win between now and early February.
Full recap coming this weekend, as well as thoughts on the Golden extension.
