Giannotti Releases Bubucheek Clothing Line

Former Miami Hurricanes baseball player Richard Giannotti has released a clothing line called Bubucheek, which has some items that allCanes will carry.

Giannotti left UM in 2004, was drafted by the Anaheim Angels and recently retired from the game. We caught up with the former number 21 and he had the following to say about his new apparel line”

allCanesBlog : “It’s been nine years since you were drafted and left ‘The U’ – what have you been up to in that time?”

Giannotti : “Baseball and Bubucheek. Baseball was my life for so many years. When I unfortunately was sidelined by an injury for a while – it gave me a lot more time to think about what passions I wanted to pursue once I hung up the cleats from my baseball career.

I’ve always liked functional fashion, and after a few choice introductions, Bubucheek was born. It’s been a part-time project – run from team buses and hotels – until recently. I’m excited to be able to dedicate my full attention to it finally. I’ll admit, not reporting to Spring Training this year for a team feels odd, but post-retirement, Bubucheek is the game I’m in these days.”

allCanesBlog : “What is the concept behind Bubucheek?”

Giannotti : “My partners and I set out to design and create casual, comfortable t-shirts, that kept designs simple yet fresh. People want to wear them to games to support their favorite teams, but also out with friends afterward. We’ve expanded beyond t-shirts, but the idea remains: Bubucheek gear is the comfortable stuff you want to wear all weekend, and can rock it anywhere you go.

That’s why we’re partnering with allCanes – there are lots of clothing options for students to wear to games, but we want to offer something a little different that gives them a design element that feels stylish enough to wear off campus as well as on.”

allCanesBlog : “‘Think. Live. Rock’ is your company’s motto. What’s that mean to you?”

Giannotti : “It means everything. Thinking positive and living confident is how we live life, and we want that feeling to be contagious. Our goal is to make people feel good in our apparel – from a comfort and attitude perspective – and we believe that if you’re positive and confident, those qualities exude naturally. In life, if you’re positive and confident, you’re attractive. You’re ‘Bubucheek’.”

Bubucheek’s “Big B II” Tee is now in stock at allCanes. Check it out here.
