So much for all that “Miami’s pipeline to Northwestern is closing” talk after last year’s recruitment of Todd Chandler. The Canes just hauled in two commitments from current Bulls – quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and wideout Eli Rogers.
Bridgewater is another dual-threat quarterback with a four-star ranking and carries 185 pounds on his 6’3″ frame. Bridgewater let it be known that he’s been a silent commitment for a while and that going to UM was always part of his plan.
The quarterback still take some recruiting trips, but he’s sold on the hometown program. Bridgewater completed 165 of 262 passes for 2,546 yards, 32 touchdowns and 12 interceptions as a junior and ran for 379 yards and five touchdowns.
Rogers is a 5’10” and 180 pound receiver with offers from UM, Louisville, Central Florida, FIU and South Florida. He finished third on the team at Northwestern as a junior with 35 catches for 551 yards and 11 touchdowns.
