Miami Hurricanes Week Seven Depth Chart

The Miami Hurricanes jumped to No. 7 in the overall rankings after a comeback win at North Carolina last Thursday night. Down 23-13 early in the fourth quarter, the Hurricanes rallied for a 27-23 victory, behind second string running back Dallas Crawford, who scored the game winner with :16 remaining.

Injuries were the name of the game. Miami lost wide receiver Phillip Dorsett to a partially torn MCL while running back Duke Johnson took a knee to the helmet and didn’t return. The Hurricanes also saw safety Kacy Rodgers II sidelined early, while Deon Bush and Rayshawn Jenkins were banged up, but stayed in the game.

Dorsett is out for the rest of the regular season, but Johnson and Rodgers are expected back this weekend, as it wideout Rashawn Scott. Scott endured a shoulder injury in the season opener against Florida Atlantic and has been out since.

Miami welcomes Wake Forest (4-3) to Sun Life Stadium this Saturday. KIckoff is at 12:00 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on ESPN U / WatchESPN.

The Week Seven depth chart has a handful of changes. Dorsett is out and Scott is in as third string wide receiver. Herb Waters is listed as starter in the slot, and co-starter with Stacy Coley at the other wide receiver position.

On defense, Justin Renfrow continues to impress and is listed as co-starter at defensive tackle with Curtis Porter, while Thurston Armbrister and Alex Figueroa are co-starters at outside linebacker this week.

Tracy Howard and Antonio Crawford are co-start at cornerback, despite Howard’s two interceptions in Chapel Hill, while Deon Bush is back at co-starter with Rodgers this week, the sophomore still working his way back into gameday shape after offseason hernia surgery.
