Sophomore running back Mike James lost his mother in a fatal car accident Monday morning. Elgusta James was 47 years old.
There are no words during a time like this so on behalf of all of us at allCanes, we wish No. 5 and his family all the best during these trying times – especially during what will be a difficult holiday season. Say a prayer for the James family tonight.

My sincerest apologies for Mike James' loss. It's always tough when you lose someone close or something you love, especially the person that's raised you all your life. I lost my father last year and you're never fully over something like that and I'm sure he's got plenty of mixed emotions going on right now. This is just another reminder that there's always things greater in life than just football.
