Perryman Ready To Step Up In The Middle

Some good ink from the Herald regarding sophomore middle linebacker Denzel Perryman, who earned freshman All-American honors lat season and has been asked to step in for the departed Sean Spence.

Linebackers coach Micheal Barrow has praised the transition, as well as Perryman’s work ethic, athletic ability and potential.

Perryman finished the 2011 season with sixty-nine tackles and six-and-a-half tackles-for-loss in twelve games, including five starts at weakside linebacker. He had a career-high fourteen tackles in the season finale against Boston College.
