Franklin was the first Cane selected, taken by the Denver Broncos as the 46th overall pick in the second round. Next up was Harris, chosen by Houston Texans 60th overall.

Hankerson was one of three Canes taken in the third round, 79th overall, by the Washington Redskins. Van Dyke was chosen by the Oakland Raiders with the 81st pick and Bailey was the final third round Cane, going 86th to the Kansas City Chiefs.

McCarthy was the lone fourth-round Miami player chosen, going 109th to the Tennessee Titans and two Canes were taken in the sixth round – Gordon going 181st and joining Van Dyke in Oakland and Bosher as the final Cane taken, 192nd by the Atlanta Falcons.
