A few thoughts:
– Seeing the pre and post-game locker room footage should silence some message board loudmouths and critics who feel that Randy Shannon is void of emotion. It also showed how much these kids love their coach, proving the relationship that fans have from the stands (and behind their computer screens) is one-dimensions. There’s a lot more going on than we see on the surface and fans need to remember that before talking smack.
– The ESPN broadcast didn’t really capture the sideline emotion you see in this clip here. Kudos the kids for letting loose, shaking it up and making plays.
– Jacory Harris giving Shannon the game ball in the closing moments of the clip – brief as it was, exciting to see a confident Harris in the locker room, great to see the kids honoring their coach and equally as nice to see a genuine smile on offensive coordinator Mark Whipple when Shannon received the ball. Especially with all the fan-fueled rumors that “Whipple hates Shannon” because of his in-game scowling.
– Watch the clip, take something from it and think about how much is really going on internally with this team before your knee-jerk comments next time you’re online.
