Those of you asking about shirts/jerseys…

We’ve received a ton of emails asking if there’s going to be a memorial shirt for Sean Taylor or if we have the ability to order in jerseys. Please stay tuned. The wound is still fresh and we’re letting the dust settle a bit. We want to do something to honor #26, but that said it needs to be done correctly and we need to make sure a portion of proceeds go to charity. That takes a little bit of time to set up.

For now, let everyone mourn Sean’s passing and as soon as we can come up with something in his honor that can help the fan base heal, we’ll post both at allCanes.com and allCanesBlog.com.

We should know more by next week. Our GM Harry Rothwell will be attending the funeral on Monday and at some point will attempt to speak with the Taylor family next week.

For those interested in simply having “something” before we get all the details ironed out, you do have the option of ordering a blank jersey and having us affix “26” and “TAYLOR” to it,
as we’ve done for decades – years back with the Russell Athletic jerseys.

It’s not an authentic and it’s hardly even a replica, but it’s “something” for those of you who are clamoring for anything right now.

If you are interested in that, call us at 800.226.4247 (IBIS) or 305.661.9011 and we’ll get you squared away. Not offering online, but we can treat as a mail order for out of town fans.

  • I was kind of wondering if Miami's AD was going to step up and contribute licensing to a 2003 #26 replica.

With proceeds going to a charity or trust for his family (I don't know how well situated they are from the NFLPA contribution), this would be a great chance to pay tribute to such a great player and do some good in the community in his name.

  • At least you are being tasteful with Taylor's untimely death. Donna Shalala on the other hand has taken the low road, seeking alumni donations in "memory of Sean Taylor." LOW CLASS!!!!

  • there is a remembrance line with sean taylor's redskins #21 (www.cafepress.com/bucktowntees). if allcanes could set something up in conjunction with that or with a similar design...
i was at the um-fsu game in 2003 you wrote about. i drove like a madman from a cross country meet an hour out of tallahassee to make it before kickoff. it poured the entire morning and through the first half of the game. it was miserably and unseasonably cold for october. i was grateful then to have witnessed that gritty ugly win and the quiet doak campbell and even more appreciative today to have been there for such a dominating performance by taylor. he personafied an attitude and confidence...my all-time favorite cane

  • hey chris, do you still want the lsu conditioning coach?

the tigers are dropping like flies and they might have some of the most fragile players in the nation.

    nice call on that one.

Yeah, great call judging Moffit on one game instead of his body of work the past several years.

Who went 5-7 this year and is loaded with injuries and who is playing in the SEC title game today, smart ass...

  • Adam, was she really doing that? My dad is a UM football Alum, he hasn't mentioned anything like that yet...I'll dig through his mail..;P

  • Easy Tiger,,,,, let dingleberries, be dingleberries. lol

No solace for me in regards to the quick apprehension of those four low lifes. It's nice that we won't be scratching our heads a year from now wondering who may have done this, like we find ourselves with Pata's as yet unsolved murder.

I guess given the choice,,, I'll take it.

I am not big on vengence,,, but I don't think these four will live very long once they are put away. Just a hunch.
