“It’s appropriate that Sean joins our Ring of Fame after a stellar career cut short far too soon,” Redskins owned Daniel Snyder said in a statement released by the team. “His life touched so many of us in such deep and lasting ways. His presence is all around us, in our organization and among our fans.”
Taylor will be the 43rd member of the Redskins organization admitted into the Ring of Fame. The death of the two-time Pro Bowl selection and fifth pick of the 2004 NFL draft will never be filled in Washington, where his lockers at FedEx Field and Redskins Park have been kept in place as he left them, as a tribute.
Keep the Taylor family in your prayers this holiday season as the one-year anniversary of Sean’s death is November 27th, which falls on Thanksgiving this year.

Great news to hear!! Sean will never be forgotten! He will go down for my generation as one of the best and most feared safeties in College Football and the NFL. His vicious linebacker type hits combined with safety speed made him a rarity. RIP Sean Taylor #26 & #21. Gone but NEVER forgotten.
Awesome,,,,, the Skins organization just rose a few notches in my eyes.
I have been watching the calendar the last few weeks counting down until the 27th. I still get tears when I watch his highlights.
Everyone has highs and lows in their lives, deals with hardships and even tragedies. As I have expressed previously on this site, this one hurt me more that most. I never met the man, was only fortunate enough to watch both his career and his journey as a man evolve into elite status.
How senseless this was.
Perhaps the University will take the baton and put Sean in his rightful place among the All-Time Hurricane greats. I’ll crawl on my knees through broken glass to be there when that happens.
Rest In Peace, may God bless those you have left behind.
Taylor was the new breed of safety that hits like a LB, kind of like a bigger Ronnie Lott. Go watch some youtube clips of him and you will be in awe. The guy just brought fear onto the field. He owned TO and was a playmaker on D. Can you imagine that team with Taylor still roaming the field? Sick. I wish I could be at the game to see how they honor him. Maybe it will turn up on youtube at some point. I hope his family is doing as well as possible. What a class move by the Redskins.

RIP #26 & #21Sean Taylor
I also want to write that ESPN.com has a great article on another fallen 'Cane, Brian Pata, right now as the "Hot Read".
RIP #95 Brian Pata

Sean Michael Taylor is my all time favorite Cane. I cried so hard when I heard what took place that night.
Not as a football player but as a person I admired him. Seeing him on youtube or before a Redskins game with Clinton or Santana or even at the fundraiser they held he was always in his own world. Quiet and Humble. To be taken from this world like he was nobody deserves that. A person like Sean does not come around often and that is how I will remember him.
My favorite Cane moment of him was when Miami played FSU and he came down to the box and hit Chris Rix. And my favorite Redskins moment is when he picked Brett Farve off 3 times and he could have had 6 picks. Rest in Heaven Sean.
