The post-season combine for future professionals has been the norm for Miami football going back decades, but it’s two former basketball players who get to show their stuff this week for general managers and scouts.
Former Hurricanes point guard Shane Larkin and former forward Kenny Kadji are headed to Chicago this week for the NBA Combine, which begins Wednesday and runs through Sunday. The two former Miami stars are two of 61 future NBA players who will go through a series of tests to measure their overall skills sets.
Larkin is projected as a late-first round or early-second round pick while Kadji is seen as a second-rounder. Both have been training with fellow Miami teammates Reggie Johnson and Julian Gamble at the IMG Academy in Bradenton and will head to Chicago together Wednesday morning.
