I just cancelled my Sunday plans so I can digest this loss and blog about the state of the program. Check back Monday. No one will escape unscathed.
Miami lost to a very average Georgia Tech team, 30-23 – further proof that the Canes aren’t even an ‘average’ bunch anymore.
While I do believe the problem can be rectified in 2007 (with a new coaching staff), the rest of this season will get mightly ugly. Virginia Tech, @Maryland, @Virginia and Boston College all loom and Miami is looking at 2-3 more losses.
This was a day when a season could’ve been saved. To do so, a monumental effort was needed from Miami. Instead, a tied game early in the fourth quarter would up a seven point loss – with the Canes giving up 17 points in those final fifteen minutes.
This one was bad… and I’m gonna unload on Sunday. Stay tuned.

That’s it I have had it up to here with Coach Coker. I’m sorry but he really sucks. How in the heck do you not challenge a call that will be overturned? Brandon Merriweather intercepted that ball and the back judge called it incomplete. Coach Coker does nothing just keeps going about his business as if the back judge was right. He doesn’t go for onside while being down by 7. He has made bad calls all season when games were on the line. He doesn’t open up the playbook. He must go this season and the “U” needs to bring back Butch. I’ve been a Hurricane fan all my life in Skokie, IL and gotten flak from family and friends; about how the canes are thugs and don’t belong in the NCAA. My defense has been its easy to hate a team that is successful every year. However, I have nothing good to say about this year. The canes are on the verge of lossing the last remaining games. Its time the “U” fans unite and bring Coker down. Paul Dee should shake Cokers hand for the service and bid him farewell. Butch Davis has mentioned he is interested in coaching again. Dee should fire Coker now and start talking to Davis to get him ready to replace Coker. Conclusion: Coker sucks and the two years we went to the national championship was not Coker’s team. The team is and will always be of Butch Davis. Fin.

It is an embarassment. Seven games in to the season and we still cannot get players on and off the field. Just like the Nole game back on Labor Day. Horrific coaching job, simply horrific. Just in time for Halloween too.
