Miami Survives South Florida

It wasn’t pretty. And you know what? Who cares? This season hasn’t been pretty and at 5-5, playing South Florida, it wasn’t all about The U — it was all about the “W”.

Any Canes feeling frustrated, look to the team who only scored three and was on the losing side of a game-winnning field goal.

Full recap coming Monday, but for now, appreciate the fact that Miami grinded it out, did what needed to be done and emerged victorious. Oh yeah, and big ups to Jake Wieclaw. A game-winner is a game-winner. Period. Give the kid his due.

Side note, how come when LSU and Alabama battle for a 9-6 overtime finale it’s a gritty “defensive battle” but when two unranked team do, it’s ugly and unfulfilling? Just saying.
