Where the Raknotur documentary on “The U” was focused on the ‘Decade Of Dominance’ era – those early-1980s, through the mid-1990s when probation hit – this piece will be about the resurgence.
That unthinkable comeback Miami made, where lightning struck a second time and this program eventually tore off a 34-game win-streak, reached four straight BCS games, played for back-to-back national championships, won one and had another snatched away on a controversial call. There was also that slew of first round talent that joined the NFL U family.
This short warrants a bigger write-up, but for now check out the trailer. The quality of the documentary doesn’t look up to Rakontur-status, which isn’t a knock as much as an observation, but the raw, uncensored footage will certainly make for a more realistic and less polished look into this bad-ass program.
