Generally speaking, it’s all about The U. Right now, it’s all about former Miami Hurricanes quarterback great Jim Kelly, putting a smack down on cancer, a green-out for homecoming and raising some money for Hunter’s Hope.
allCanes is exclusively discounting the “Kelly Tough” tee with a special $15 price tag—donating $5 from each purchase to Kelly’s foundation, honoring his late son who suffered from Krabbe Leukodystrophy.
Fans have been scooping up the high-demand tees—both to support a great cause, but also to participate in the November 1st green-out when Miami welcomes North Carolina for homecoming.
An added bonus—Kelly has been named the grand marshall for the weekend. allCanes general manager Harry Rothwell spoke about the cause earlier today, and again on tonights edition of allCanes Radio, where Kelly was a guest.
“We want to ‘Kelly Tough’ out Sun Life Stadium on November 1st, while raising as much money for Hunter’s Hope as possible,” said Rothwell. “I’ve always admired Jim on the field, but away from the game he’s an even better human being that has both helped and inspired so many—while proving exactly what it means to be ‘U Tough’.”
The “Kelly Tough” shirt is limited edition and will sell out quickly, so plan accordingly if you’re planning to watch the Hurricanes take on the Tar Heels in two weeks.
Regarding Thursday night’s edition of allCanes Radio, the interview with Kelly is now live—as are chats with former safety Mike Rumph (click here) and receiver Travis Benjamin (click here).
