The Miami Hurricanes have officially released their 2014 recruiting class and a hearty #WelcomeToTheU for the 26 new members of the U Family.
Fourth-year head coach Al Golden and staff didn’t pull many National Signing Day surprises, but such is the case when so much heavy-lifting is done in fall. At one point in December, the Hurricanes had upwards of 30 verbal commitments, which by numbers alone will bring some late defections and few last-minute additions.
While some inevitably focus on those who supposedly got away, fact remains that Miami cleaned up with this class, adding quality and necessary depth to the in-repair program.
The Hurricanes proved strong in chasing down solid defensive line talent, while landing a few potential quarterbacks-of-the-future and some big time offensive linemen.
With nine early enrollees already on campus and 17 more fired-up athletes headed to “The U” in the coming months, the Miami Hurricanes are officially working towards another step forward in fall.
For now, let’s meet the individual members of the 2014 Miami Hurricanes recruiting class.
