Donnavan Kirk Coming ‘Home’ For Final Year

Power forward Donnavan Kirk is headed back to the University of Miami for his redshirt senior season. Kirk spent his first two seasons in Coral Gables before transferring to DePaul University, where he has since graduated and has one remaining year of eligibility, which he’ll give to The U.

Kirk started thirty games last season, averaging 6.2 points and 3.9 rebounds, while averaging 25.5 minutes per game. While at UM he only started three games, playing in thirteen, on the heels of his freshman season being cut short due to injury (re: he only saw action in four games.)

Kirk originally left Miami to be closer to his mother in Michigan, but loves his time in Coral Gables, which prompted his return. Kirk had also visited Colorado State, with the Rams in the running for his services, but Miami and Jim Larranaga won out. Kirk also plans on continuing his education, enrolling in UM’s business school.
