I was disappointed in the team for the weekend. There was no emotion to the team. I felt Miami was not the least excited about playing ball. We were just going through the motions.
Were we looking forward to next weeks showdown with ACC foe Virginia Tech? Only time will tell. If the Hurricanes come out not jumping around, playing with a little swagger, we will once again leave Blacksburgh with a loss.
I will try to be optimistic coming into this weekend match up, now knowing what Clemson did with shutting down the Hokies. We can and should be able to compete well with VT. We MUST cut down on stupid penalties. Miami had more flags in the first 5mins, then a lot of teams do the entire game Al Golden will have this team prepared for another ACC battle. My prediction Miami 20-13
The other State schools would have hung 70 points on Bethune without trying. We let them stay in the game for 3 quarters. We can't afford to take anyone lightly! I don't understand why we come out flat. At 1-2 going into that game the coaches shouldn't have to motivate the players. True, we used a base offense, but come on, shouldn't our athleticism be enough to put them away early?
