Dillard is a 6-foot-2, 215-pound back that committed to Golden and talked with both offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch and running backs coach Terry Richardson.
“I was real happy. All my life they’ve been my favorite,” said Dillard.
Dillard is a three-star prospect with upwards of twenty offers and he chose the Hurricanes. A scholarship was offered on Sunday and within fifteen minutes, the Venice running back committed to ‘The U’. Dillard is the 32nd ranked running back by Rivals.com and the 92nd overall recruit in the state of Florida.
Southward attended last Saturday’s win over Duke, got star treatment before he game and had an offer soon after the 49-14 win was in the books. Southward had recently attended games in both Gainesville and Tallahassee but preferred the Miami vibe.
Southward is listed as a ‘soft commit’ and he’s working to graduate early. After getting an offer from Ohio State last week, Miami came calling this past weekend and gave him the offer he was waiting for.
The addition of Dillard and Southward now give Miami twenty-six verbal commitments for the 2012 recruiting class.
