Sean Taylor would’ve been a twenty-eight year old young man, most likely still with the Washington Redskins and suiting up for a road game at Seattle this afternoon. Instead another Thanksgiving comes and goes and Taylor is still gone.
A legendary Miami Hurricane, an all world NFL safety, a husband, a son, a father and a friend. Thinking of No. 26 today, like we do every November 27th, the anniversary of his passing.
sean was a real go getter….hard hitter …no quitter….he lives on in um nation hearts.
We miss you, Sean.

My favorite CANE of All Time.
I had the pleasure of watching him play a few times, and the one that sticks out for me was the rain soaked day at Doak Campbell stadium..If memory serves he had 3 picks on the day and it should have been 5 because 2 others went through his hands due to the soaking wet conditions..He embodied what it was to be a Cane and member of this U..He didnt just talk it..He lived it..His passing is a source sadness and anger each time it is brought up for me..Such an incredible talent, who was at the beginning of an incredible life with is brand new family, and a stellar career..He seemed to reach the point in life where he was interested in being a great father, husband, and safty and very little else..He was at peace, and content with his life until disaster..Rest in peace 26..God speed to the Taylor family, friends, teammates!
@Ibis19 i remember that game too. He was, still, and will be the only person to ever single handedly beat a team as a defensive player. He would have easily gone down as one of, if not the greatest saftey to ever suit up. Easily my favorite player of all time and he will always be deeply missed
