Coach L led his Hurricanes to a 24-6 regular season record, as well as an ACC Championship in his second season as Miami’s coach.

UM tore off a fourteen-game win-streak mid-season, while setting a record when upending Duke and North Carolina by twenty-five-plus points in the same season. (The Hurricanes beat the Tar Heels in both meetings and after stomping the Blue Devils in the first match-up, feel by three weeks in a rematch weeks back.)

Durand Scott took home Defensive Players Of The Year honors, a day after earning Honorable Mention for the all-ACC team, while Shane Larkin was twice a runner up on Tuesday, coming in second (to Virginia Tech’s Erick Green) for Player Of The Year honors, and losing out to teammate Scott for DPOTY, coming up two votes short.

Both Larkin and Green were named to the All-ACC team on Monday, with Green getting the POTY nod today.

Regardless, a tremendous end of the regular season for Miami as coaches and players are receiving some well-earned national respect and recognition before heading to Greensboro to play in the ACC Tournament Championship later this week.
