Game Eight : Virginia 28, Miami 21

A Thursday night comedy of errors, yet no one in orange and green is laughing. The Miami Hurricanes again tanked on defense, but in the end it was penalties, mistakes and sloppy moments which were the difference in this 28-21 loss.

Jacory Harris was 21-of-30 for 311 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions and Tommy Streeter hauled in seven receptions for 176 yards and two scores, but this one will be remembered for the 468 total yards given up, the big plays yielded and costly mistakes at the most inopportune times.

Full, detailed, season-two-thirds-over breakdown coming soon.

Next up for 4-4 Miami, a home game against Duke on November 5th.

  1. Man this team is hard to gauge. I thought they would lose the ones they won. They lost this one and should have won it. The defense went backwards, I guess its easier to stop a triple option because you know they are going to run the triple option, it’s a1demensional attack. The positive I take away is they don’t give up, they fight till the end. We just need to get over that hump. Last years team would have folded, these guys fight. We have lost all our games by like 15 yards total. I think that’s why the loses hurt so bad.
